Reports from Auckland airport, Auckland hospital and a flight from Mexico are raising concerns that the New Zealand government is reacting to the latest scare from China.

The Daily Examiner has received allegations that a couple have been forcibly detained and placed into quarantine inside Auckland hospital.

The couple were reported to have been on an inbound flight from Mexico. When detained, reports suggest they had communication devices confiscated and luggage refused. Reports have also been received that authorities contacted their family here in New Zealand as no contact is allowed.

If so, the government may be reacting in an extreme way to the latest China outbreaks again.
