Hobson’s Pledge sends deepest sympathy to the Kingitanga family and Tainui people over the sad passing of Tuheitia Pōtatau Te Wherowhero VII, also known as Kīngi Tuheitia.

“Kīngi Tuheitia led his community for nearly twenty years,” said Hobson’s Pledge leader Don Brash, “and has always been staunch in his advocacy. Today is a sad day for the communities of this patriarch, and we want to share our sorrow at the loss of this leader.”
