Green MP Benjamin Doyle, the party’s Early Childhood Education spokesperson, may have some explaining to do regarding his connection to a now-private alternate Instagram account, @BibleBeltBussy, which posted disturbing, suggestive images involving a child.
The account, seemingly operated by Doyle himself, captioned a photo “Bussy Galore” – the word “Bussy” being a crude mixing of ‘boy’ and ‘anus’ using LGBTQIA+ slang.
Curiously, numerous posts have vanished from the account at some point, and it appears to have been hastily made private.
What’s more, Green and Te Pāti Māori MPs, along with radical activists, were among the account’s followers, raising eyebrows about their judgment.
Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters is demanding to know why the mainstream media have turned a blind eye for a full 24 hours to this alleged sexualized child image scandal implicating Doyle, the Greens’ supposed expert on young children:
The storm broke on social media on Friday when incriminating images from @BibleBeltBussy, apparently controlled by Doyle, surfaced on X and Instagram. The photos depict a young boy being kissed on the mouth by a man or perched on what looks like Doyle’s lap – captioned with the alarming “Bussy Galore” phrase by the MP himself.
Researcher Ani O’Brien, along with X user HolyHekaTuiTeka’s damning screenshot evidence tying Doyle to @BibleBeltBussy, revealed the account’s followers include Green co-leaders Chlöe Swarbrick and Marama Davidson, Te Pāti Māori co-leader Debbie Ngarewa-Packer, Green MPs Ricardo Menendez-March and Huhana Lyndon, rainbow charity InsideOut Koaro, and Te Ao Māori TV presenter Whatitiri Te Wake. While there’s no proof these followers endorsed the content, social media is buzzing with questions about who knew what and when, and why they remained silent about this concerning “alt” account.
Only four posts remain on BibleBeltBussy as of today, with 52 others apparently scrubbed and the account locked down.
O’Brien justified sharing the images on X, stating that for months, concerned citizens have begged the media to investigate Doyle’s troubling behavior, to no avail.
She expressed disgust at having to circulate the screenshot, even with the child’s face obscured, but felt compelled to force accountability from Doyle and the Greens. O’Brien slammed those defending Doyle’s actions as a “joke” or “gay culture,” insisting this has no place in the community she belongs to.
Doyle is thought to be the boy’s parent, but his “joking” about sexualizing children while serving as an MP – and the Greens’ early childhood education spokesman, no less – seems indefensible. The other politicians and followers may have joined after the 2023 posts, oblivious to them, but the deletion of 52 posts altogether casts a dark shadow.
Winston Peters minced no words on X, accusing the media of shielding Doyle and his “alternate” @BibleBeltBussy account, with its twisted meaning and now-vanished posts. He blasted the Green Party leadership’s silence amid the swirling online allegations as “deafening,” painting Doyle as a dangerous figure bent on sabotaging society’s ethical foundation – all while pushing puberty blockers and surgery for children.
Doyle and The Green Party have so far avoided comment on this ongoing affair.
